STORIES OF THE DECADE 2001-2011

The drought breaks with a Golden Guitar win 

After winning a Gold Guitar three decades prior, the band amassed a very large number of losing finals nominations.  Rog and Dobe had developed a long-running on-stage gag blaming the losses of each other’s respective songwriting and singing abilities. The winning song, The Road to Thargamindah, from the album Songbook Collection 2 and written by Colin Buchannan finally settled the score.
